Presidio School of Management Participating in National Teach-In on Global Warming; Faculty Member Hunter Lovins on Panel and Students Hosting Virtual World Web Cast
SAN FRANCISCO (January 30, 2008) – Presidio School of Management is joining the thousands of colleges and universities in this week’s Focus the Nation’s national teach-in on global warming. Hunter Lovins, founding faculty member of Presidio School of Management and CEO of Natural Capitalism, will be on the 2% Solution panel that is being web cast live tomorrow and school MBA students are co-hosting an interactive virtual world discussion on Second Life where participants can vote for the five most promising solutions.
WHO: Presidio MBA students are hosting a re-broadcast of the 2% Solution panel on Second Life, in conjunction with OneClimate (www.oneclimate.net). Panelists include Hunter Lovins, actor Edward Norton, Stanford University climate scientist Steve Schneider and Ella Baker Center Executive Director, Van Jones. Following the panel’s discussion on global warming solutions, the students will lead an interactive discussion with participants.
WHAT: The 2% Solution panel discussion will be featured in the 3-D virtual world of Second Life and Presidio MBA students will lead an interactive dialogue with participants on what was discussed.
WHEN: The web cast will take place on Thursday, January 31, 2008 at 12 noon PST.
